Intro to Blender: First Steps into 3D Design

I served as event lead and host for our online webinar “Intro to Blender”, held via Google Meet and streamed on Facebook Live. Our speaker, Mr. Rapi Ybiernas, a 3D Generalist from Certifi.world, shared Blender basics in a spontaneous, hands-on manner. Despite minor pacing issues, the session was engaging and well-received.

🧠 Key Learnings
I realized that authenticity and enthusiasm can be just as impactful as formal presentations. As an organizer, I gained insight into how clear and aligned promotional content sets the tone for participant expectations.

🛠️ Practical Applications
Moving forward, I aim to:

  • Design event promos that reflect actual content and tone.
  • Embrace spontaneity in learning creative tools like Blender.
  • Develop technical checklists and pre-event protocols for smoother execution.
  • Support first-time speakers with structured onboarding.

âś… Event Highlights

  • Authentic and relatable delivery from the speaker.
  • High audience engagement despite informal structure.
  • Smooth coordination among the team across platforms.

đź’ˇ Suggestions for Future Events

  • Encourage speakers to prepare step-by-step guides or visuals.
  • Conduct pre-event rehearsals to boost speaker confidence.
  • Highlight interactive, hands-on aspects in promos to attract learners.

This event reminded me that a well-supported team, a willing audience, and genuine enthusiasm can create a successful and inspiring learning experience—even without a script.
