Day 2: Advancing Skills and Prototyping

Continuous learning and hands-on exploration are key to staying ahead in the tech landscape. My second day of training was marked by deep dives into new tools, app prototyping, and setting up a solid development environment. Here’s a recap of my experiences and takeaways.

Exploring Day 2 Training Guide

Day 2 of training introduced a more comprehensive look into advanced concepts, particularly in Accounting and Finance, Disbursements, and Job Orders. This structured guide provided insights into financial workflows, best practices for managing disbursements, and efficient handling of job orders. Understanding these processes helped me grasp intricate financial operations and how they can be streamlined through technology, enabling more effective application in real-world scenarios.

Creating a Draft Prototype in Figma

With a clear understanding of the requirements, I transitioned into designing a draft prototype for the app using Figma. This process involved brainstorming UI/UX elements, defining user flows, and structuring an intuitive interface. Figma’s collaborative and flexible design system allowed for rapid iteration, ensuring a refined prototype that aligns with user needs.

Browsing AppSheet Features and Functionalities

As part of my exploration, I delved into AppSheet, a no-code development platform that streamlines app creation. Examining its features and functionalities helped me understand how it facilitates automation, data integration, and scalability, making it a powerful tool for building lightweight applications with minimal coding.

Setting Up Development Environment: Stacks and IDE

A well-structured development environment is crucial for efficient coding and deployment. I focused on setting up the required tech stacks and configuring my IDE (VS Code). This involved installing necessary dependencies, extensions, and frameworks to ensure a seamless workflow for future development tasks.
