I focused on resolving backend configuration issues, specifically those related to access restrictions caused by the .htaccess file. Certain rewrite rules were interfering with directory access, especially under the /admin section, blocking essential files and affecting normal system behavior.
To prevent these restrictions from overwriting access permissions, I decided to remove the .htaccess file temporarily. This allowed me to isolate the root cause of the issue and confirm that the rewrite rules were the main culprit behind blocked assets such as profile images and frontend scripts.
After verifying access was restored, I carefully adjusted file permissions via both cPanel and SSH to secure sensitive files while ensuring authenticated users could still access necessary resources. This step balanced usability with protection, keeping the app functional and secure.
Meanwhile, I implemented UI improvements based on feedback we received after deployment. Minor layout issues like spacing, inconsistent margins, and header misalignments were resolved for a more polished interface.
Though these backend and UI changes may go unnoticed by users, they significantly enhance the system’s stability and user experience.
As a result, the application now performs more reliably across different hosting environments, with cleaner access control and a more refined look.
